Intent of the Stimulus Bill

A brief summary of the Stimulus:

-$787 billion is the official figure. Remember, though, that $700bn was the tag on the Banker Bailout, and it ended up costing $8.5 trillion. Architects of that bill admitted they had just 'thought of a really big number'.

-ACORN are perhaps the most 'controversial' recipients of taxpayers' money in this package. Quite how a not-for-profit will help kick-start the economy is beyond me.

-Nobody had a chance to read the bill before it was voted on. It's time to ask yourself, if you think this bill is good, why wasn't time granted for representatives to at least READ the bill before deciding? What does it say about those who support the bill in spite of this? Blind loyalty, sheep mentality, or brain damage?

The 'whoops, no time to read' situation is by no means an accident. The same thing happened with the Patriot Act.

Why is it that "anything that's important" is always brought to vote in a hurry so no-one can make an informed decision?

This is not just about America. The designed implosion of the economy will be worsened another degree or two by this bill, on top of the Banker Bailout bill. The epicentre may be the States, but the whole world will be affected.

The freedom of the 'free world' hangs by a thread. It will come down to what the masses cry out for: Liberty, or a Global Central Bank with carbon taxes and 'food' camps. We will see.
