Message from the Local Resistance?

No time to write much today, but one thing that surprised me was the paper that landed on my doormat.

Looked like just another free paper full of advertising...but then I turned it over and it was the new edition of the UK Column!

Whoever handed this out, I thank you and commend you for your efforts to wake up the locals. I bet some people are scratching their heads right now over the headline announcing "Gordon Brown's New World Order"!

    squaddies = British slang term for soldiers.

    Just gauging how...shall we say...'co-operative' the military would be under martial law.

    If you want more info on that, there's a film on Google Video called "Police State 2000" which shows footage of US martial law drills (gun confiscation, rounding people up) as far back as the Clinton era.
