Just what did Paul say that merited this charge? He referred to US presence in Iraq as an 'occupation'. How this relates to Semitic people, I do not know. Is Stein trying to suggest that the war in Iraq is being fought for Israel? That's the only logical conclusion I could draw from this piece of insanity.
By the way, trying to label anyone who disagrees with you an 'anti-Semite' is only going to work on those with the IQ of 4 year olds (bring the troops home now? Anti-Semitism!) Not to mention the fact that, like the boy who cried wolf, it cheapens the word anti-Semitism. This is how and why the pro-Israel talking points actually CREATE hostility towards Jewish people, because 'well if I am against Israel committing genocide then I guess I hate Jews'.
Classic Nazi style Divide and Conquer. Thankfully most people don't fall for this anymore.
Edit: if you really need proof that it isn't anti-Semitic to hold non-interventionist foreign policy views, look up the Jewish Libertarians. I had no idea Ayn Rand and Ludwig von Mises were Jewish.
Win Ben Stein's Apology
ReplyDeleteInteresting time for a terror attack. They want everyone to be out shopping and consuming to fuel the war machine but then they toss this in just to keep us on our toes. I'm wondering what kind of a reaction they wanted with this. I wonder if the device was supposed to fail so they could have another "let's roll" style victory over "the terrorists".
ReplyDeleteI was watching V for vendetta for the 2nd time last night and theres a part where the government realizes their popularity is falling and they say "we need to remind people why they need us" - then it cuts to the news talking about terrorists and deadly flus; I almost crapped in my pants!
It was all neatly filmed. (Coincidence, I bet...) I feel much safer now that government has a new excuse to further our Stasification.
ReplyDeleteThe view that the increase in power had by government, is more dangerous than any of the threats they supposedly protect us from, has gone mainstream in the last few years.
To that I say, 'Good'.
The 'security' we purchased with our loss of liberty is no more valuable than the 'securities' thrown around by financial traders. A mirage.
I had not realized it was filmed. Reading abit more I found a few more coincidences that are too neat for comfort.
ReplyDelete1)The suspect's father called the embassy to warn them not to let him in the USA...natually they ignored it and now I'm sure the government will get more power because they screwed up.
2)The suspect is apparently singing like a bird and they have all sorts of evidence - I doubt a real terrorists would devulge any information, they have better opsec.
3)Al-queda took responsibility for the incident but the suspect is not being charge in a criminal cosnpiracy.
War is the health of the state!
I call bullshit!
