A little reminder about our (Britain's) latitude: ~53 deg north
That is comparable to the Hudson Bay in Canada, for instance..in other words it is the ocean currents that cause our climate to behave as if we were ten or twenty degrees closer to the equator.
All I will say is, if he's right, you'll know in a couple of months. Brrrrr
