Britons forced to work two extra days to pay next year's tax bill

British workers will have to toil until the end of May before their earnings are truly their own.
For the first 149 days of 2011, every penny earned will go to pay the taxman.

Despite drastic cuts, Britons will spend more days working to fund State spending this year than last. The so-called Tax Freedom Day will fall on May 29 next year, compared with May 27 this year.

Economists at the Adam Smith Institute, the free-market think-tank, say the two extra days are needed because of the rise in VAT, which goes up from 17.5 per cent to 20 per cent on January 4.

Tom Clougherty, its executive director, said: ‘The fact that we spend almost five months working for the State – and only seven months for ourselves and our families – is a shocking indictment of big, wasteful government.

‘As well as hitting every household, the VAT hike is going to dent consumer confidence and put a dampener on economic recovery.’

Dr Eamonn Butler, director of the institute, said: ‘The Coalition should examine the possibility of making targeted tax cuts now. But in the long term, they need to fundamentally overhaul the system. Lower, simpler, flatter taxes would be fairer for individuals and better for the economy.’

A SERVICE veteran has spoken of the moment two drunken thugs attacked him for wearing a poppy, screaming: “Death to all soldiers.”

Grandfather Anthony O’Brien, 69, had been preparing for a comrade’s funeral wearing his RAF blazer and campaign medals when the yobs pounced.

The pair – aged between 17 and 20 and Asian or mixed race – head-butted him and punched him to the floor.

He was taken to hospital with bruising, black eyes and an injured nose. The attack has left him in a wheelchair.

Yesterday, Mr O’Brien branded his attackers “cowardly scum”.

He added: “I wear my poppy with pride because of those people who laid down their lives for this country.

“I march every year on Remembrance Sunday, yet these thugs obviously treat all that with utter contempt.

“If they had any respect they wouldn’t have said what they did or attacked me.

“I wouldn’t do what they did to me to a dog. They are cowards for doing it to an older person. They should have picked on someone their own size.”

The incident happened near Mr O’Brien’s home in Fallowfield, Manchester, after he met friends to plan for the funeral of a former comrade the following day.

Mr O’Brien, who served in the 1960s, added: “As I was walking down the street, I saw these two lads at the end.

“As I got near them they started shouting: ‘Shoot all you bastards and blow your soldiers up. Death to all soldiers.’

“I was scared. I was wearing my RAF blazer and my poppy. I wear it regularly because it’s smart and I’m proud of it.

“I thought they were drunk or something. I told them to leave me alone but then the little fellow hit me on the side of my head.

“The other one must have run round because the next thing he was right in front of me and I didn’t have time to move and he head-butted me. Then they ran away. ”

Since the attack, friends from the Royal British Legion have sent Mr O’Brien food hampers as a token of goodwill but the shock of the assault has triggered heart and breathing problems.

He added: “I can’t sleep. I don’t know if I’ll ever forget it. I’m scared to go outside on my own now.”

Last week, responding to a deluge of news reports tying Israel to Wikileaks, Julian Assange announced he finally planned to release 3700 cables from the US Embassy in Tel Aviv, documents previously withheld from the public. In a press release, Assange said he planned the “dump” in 6 months but didn’t indicate how many other documents involving Israel were being withheld.

Julian Assange's Ties to Nazi Cult

Julian Assange was born in 1971. His birth parents ran a touring theatre company but his father abandoned them.

When Julian was 8-years-old, his mother, Christine, married a member of "The White Brotherhood" - aka "The Family" or San­ti­nike­tan Park Asso­ci­a­tion, a private psychiatric hospital on the outskirts of Melbourne Australia.

In the 1960's-1980's, the Santiniketan Park Association received CIA-Sandoz LSD-25.

The psychiatric hospital was part of a New Age colony with about 200 members. They were all professionals: psychiatrists, medical doctors - 25% were nurses - lawyers, and ranking civil servants and social workers.

The allegations were that these people used their authority to "collect" (kidnap) children. As many as twenty eight children had been 'collected' under the custody of the director, Anne Hamilton-Byrne, a theosophist. Children were selected for their Aryan traits.

This cult is well documented from the Australian investigations and court proceedings highlighted in the Oz media at the time.

According to Assange, his parents broke with the cult in 1982 and until 1990, they lived 'on the run' moving dozens of times. During this period, Julian was charged with computer hacking by the Australian police. That's all Assange has said about it, claiming that he doesn't remember Hamilton-Byrne or anything about the cult.

Cult members have disclosed the children were collected for a "scientific experiment". Though Hamilton-Byrne (left, insert) remained silent, members disclosed that Hamilton-Byrne predicted a global holocaust which wipe out most of humanity. She was preparing the cult children to be "inheritors of the earth".

According to Hamilton-Byrne's real daughter Sarah Moore the children hadn't been told about that. Lebensborn e. V was under the authority of the SS "race and settlement bureau". Lebensborn is best remembered as a breeding program for SS 'studs' with select Aryan female volunteers. The project included social workers of the settlement bureau screening schools and hospitals in Germany and occupied Europe looking for infants and children that fit the Nazi eugenics profile of traits.

Thousands of such children were 'drafted' into the program - kidnapped - and sent to to remote hospital/academy locations for mind control programming. There were over 30 of these facilities throughout Europe, which processed as many as 30,000 new births.

However, many more older children taken from other countries were sent to special facilities for "Aryanisation" re-programming. The best source of information is the record of the 8th Nuremberg Trial, United States of America v. Ulrich Greifelt, et al., or the RuSHA Trial.

The infamous Dr. Josef Mengele is generally remembered for lethal 'experiments' on children at Auschwitz . Most patients are Conspiracy Theorists - believe their doctors are in league with Big Pharma

"(NaturalNews) A new Consumer Reports survey has found that the vast majority of patients on prescription drug medications believe that drug companies have too much influence over their doctors. Roughly half of those interviewed believe that their doctors are so influenced by Big Pharma that they would deliberately write a drug prescription even if a better, safer, non-drug option was available.

Of the nearly 1,200 patients interviewed, nearly half believe that gifts from drug companies influence which drugs their doctors prescribe. And more than 80 percent believe that drug companies offer incentives to doctors to get them to write more prescriptions.

Other concerns include doctors agreeing to be paid spokespersons for drug companies, speaking at drug industry conference and being "wined and dined" by drug company executives in exchange for favors.

According to Dr. Lee Green, these concerns are largely warranted because drug companies are known to participate in this type of unethical behavior. In fact, drug companies have now begun targeting primary care physicians to promote drugs rather than academic doctors because they are easier to convince and manipulate.

The study results are indicative of an overall decline in the public's trust of doctors, which is leading many people to conduct more research on their own about treatment alternatives. But rather than be concerned about the blatant corruption in the medical and drug industries that is causing this phenomenon, some researchers seem more concerned that people might stop taking their medications as a result..."

Young Female Chimpanzees Treat Sticks as Dolls: Growing Evidence of Biological Basis for Gender-Specific Play in Humans

ScienceDaily (Dec. 22, 2010) — Researchers have reported some of the first evidence that chimpanzee youngsters in the wild may tend to play differently depending on their sex, just as human children around the world do.

Scientists at Harvard University and Bates College say female chimpanzees appear to treat sticks as dolls, carrying them around until they have offspring of their own. Young males engage in such behavior much less frequently.

The new work by Sonya M. Kahlenberg and Richard W. Wrangham, described this week in the journal Current Biology, provides the first suggestive evidence of a wild non-human species playing with rudimentary dolls, as well as the first known sex difference in a wild animal's choice of playthings.

The two researchers say their work adds to a growing body of evidence that human children are probably born with their own ideas of how they want to behave, rather than simply mirroring other girls who play with dolls and boys who play with trucks. Doll play among humans could have its origins in object-carrying by earlier apes, they say, suggesting that toy selection is probably not due entirely to socialization.

"In humans, there are robust sex differences in children's toy play, and these are remarkably similar across cultures," says Kahlenberg, a lecturer in biology at Bates who conducted the research as a postdoctoral researcher in Wrangham's group at Harvard. "While socialization by elders and peers has been the primary explanation, our work suggests that biology may also have an important role to play in activity preferences."

In 14 years of data on chimpanzee behavior at the Kibale National Park in Uganda, Kahlenberg and Wrangham counted more than 100 examples of stick-carrying. In many cases young females weren't using the sticks for foraging or fighting, as adults sometimes do, or for any other discernable purpose.

Some young chimpanzees carried sticks into the nest to sleep with them and on one occasion built a separate nest for the stick. The researchers even witnessed the animals playing a version of the "airplane game," lying on their backs with their "offspring" balanced across their upraised hands.

"We have seen juveniles occasionally carrying sticks for many years, and because they sometimes treated them rather like dolls, we wanted to know if in general this behavior tended to represent something like playing with dolls," says Wrangham, the Ruth Moore Professor of Biological Anthropology at Harvard. "If the doll hypothesis was right we thought that females should carry sticks more than males do, and that the chimpanzees should stop carrying sticks when they had their first offspring. We have now watched enough young chimpanzees to test both points."

Kahlenberg and Wrangham's observations included a few adult females carrying sticks, but only before they became mothers for the first time. Their finding clearly links juvenile play to adult behavior, since female chimpanzees, not males, carry infants more than 99 percent of the time.

"Obviously in humans there is a huge role for peers, parents, and others to influence a child's preferences for different kinds of toys, and the same may well be true of chimpanzees," Wrangham says. "One of the things that makes our finding fascinating is that there is little evidence of anything comparable in other chimpanzee communities, which raises the possibility that the chimpanzees are copying a local behavioral tradition. So this may be a lovely case of biological and social influences being intertwined."

I guess they would rather everyone worshipped them and took drugs and had orgies and sacrificed goats, I dunno.

The very celebration of Christmas and its (in an ideal, non-corporate world) anti-materialism, and acknowledgement of family and 'faith' as the cornerstones of free civilisation, is a victory over the destroyers, who are in essence Scrooges, and not just at this time of year.

LONDON: The reported deaths of two British militants in a drone attack in Pakistan's tribal region last week have raised fears that western Muslim converts are being targeted by Al-Qaeda in its search for “white jihadis” to mount Mumbai-style attacks in Europe, according to The Sunday Times.

The newspaper quoted western intelligence agencies as saying that Ilyas Kashmiri, recently named as Al-Qaeda's chief military strategist in Pakistan and Afghanistan and dubbed the “new Bin Laden,” had been “assigned to bring western recruits” into the organisation.

The 46-year-old “one-eyed terrorist,” reportedly described by one Pakistani Army officer as the “most dangerous man for Pakistan, Europe and the United States,” was said to be “plotting” attacks in Britain and other European countries, including France and Germany.

“Reports that two British militants had been killed in a drone attack in the lawless North Waziristan region, where Kashmiri has established his base, emerged as Interpol warned that Al-Qaeda intended to strike in Europe or America during the Christmas period,” the paper said.

It said few details about the two men were known except that they were believed to be Muslim converts who had adopted local names, Mansoor Ahmed and Abu Bakr. Before conversion, one was called Steve and the other had the surname Smith, it said.

‘White skin militants'

The report claimed that local sources in Waziristan had reported seeing many “white skin” militants, most of them German (the AAA just couldn't resist taking a stab at the Germans could they - how transparent do you want it to be), in the tribal areas.

“One tribesman said he had spoken to two young Germans with ‘golden beards' who told him in broken Pashto: ‘We are here for jihad.' Witnesses say the militants wear local clothes and travel in small groups in vehicles or on motorcycles, flaunting weapons including AK-47 assault rifles, rocket launchers and rocket-propelled grenades,” it said.

In October, MI5 launched a hunt for members of a British cell linked to Kashmiri following a tip-off that “white jihadis” were planning a commando attack. The information reportedly came from Ahmed Siddiqui, a German national of Afghan descent who claimed that Kashmiri had told him during a campfire chat in Waziristan that he had sent advance teams to Britain and Germany.

HERO’S HELMET SAVES GIRL’S LIFE

A HEROIC British soldier was back on patrol yesterday after taking a bullet to the head rather than risk an Afghan girl’s life.

Lance Corporal Craig “Murf” Murfitt, 25, spotted a Taliban fighter on a rooftop in Helmand province using a 10-year-old girl as a human shield.

Although the rifleman and medic had the insurgent in his sights, he did not pull the trigger out of fear of hitting the girl.

However, the insurgent shot at L/Cpl Murfitt who survived only because the bullet ricocheted off his helmet.

The girl took her chance and fled and the rifleman’s comrades from the 2nd Royal Tank Regiment shot the insurgent.

L/Cpl Murfitt, who is looking forward to returning to his wife Erica and baby son, Finlay, in Barnstaple, Devon, next year, was in a Warthog armoured vehicle sent to help an infantry unit pinned down by the Taliban.

He said: “Our heavy firepower seemed to bring the fight to an end. Everything was quiet but then I spotted three men with a child on a compound roof.

“Two moved off, leaving one with the child – a girl, no more than 10 years old. The man picked up a rifle and moved behind the child, taking aim at me. I knew I could take him down but I didn’t want to run the risk of killing a kid and undoing all the good work we’ve achieved.

“So I waited, hoping the child would drop down and give me a clear shot.”

But the Taliban fired hitting L/Cpl Murfitt on the side of his helmet, knocking him to the floor.

He said: “I felt the dent in my helmet and said, ‘I’ve been shot in the head but I’m fine.’ I tried to stand up but I had disco legs and just had to sit down again.”

L/Cpl Murfitt was back on patrol later that day, providing support to British troops and first aid to locals.

An Army spokesman said: “The actions of this rifleman, who took a bullet to save the life of a child, show the difference between British courage and Taliban evil.”

I linked this version of the story, as the other MSM versions of this account I read did not explain what happened afterward. I admit, having read the much more limited story from the BBC, I presumed that when the Taliban fired, and the Brits fired back "from a Warthog" (light APC), the poor girl would have got filled with half inch holes along with her captor. Thankfully this version of the story lets us know she ran away. Well you would hope so anyway.

Rhetorical question: why do all the media reports on stories like this let us know every detail about the individual act of heroism, yet do everything to shield us from the reality of war, i.e. death? Why not let us know that seconds later the other guy got blown away? I'm not saying he didn't deserve it, for hiding behind a child, my point is that war reporting is, like military recruitment propaganda, always very very 'sterile', and tries to cover up the patently obvious, that this man and thousands of others have been tricked into risking their lives in the sand not just for nothing, but actually to support the very people who are soft killing them and their families back home.

If you really really want to fight, how about moving to Cornwall and kick starting Cornish secession. Hahahaha. Or liberate the Six Counties. Or Scotland or Wales. If you really must fight, at least insist on a good cause first. The only good cause is freedom (i.e. self determination), and sorry, but you will never fight for freedom as a soldier of the Queen or of a covert Colony like the modern day US, or Canada, or indeed Israel.

START Treaty is Really the United Nations Global Military Regime Treaty

With little notice from the average joe on the street, the plan for complete and total disarmament in a supposedly peaceful world continues its way toward completion. Known as the START Treaty, the agenda to turn over total military control to the United Nations is being carried out by the Obama administration, in cooperation of the Russian government and the United Nations body.

White House Press Secretary (for the Obama Ministry of Truth) Robert Gibbs said Friday that the chamber would remain in session this year for as long as necessary to ratify the START agreement.

According to a little discussed document known as "Department of State Publication 7277", published in 1961 during the Kennedy administration, and titled "Freedom from War : The United States Program for General and Complete Disarmament in a Peaceful World", the real agenda is to bring all national military forces under the control of the United Nations.

The name of this force, according to the document, would be called The United Nations Peace Force, and would be comprised of internal police/military forces of each of the countries of the world.

Under the section DISARMAMENT GOAL AND OBJECTIVES the document states:

The over-all goal of the United States is a free, secure, and peaceful world of independent states adhering to common standards of justice and international conduct and subjecting the use of force to the rule of law; a world which has achieved general and complete disarmament under effective international control; and a world in which adjustment to change takes place in accordance with the principles of the United Nations.

In order to make possible the achievement of that goal, the program sets forth the following specific objectives toward which nations should direct their efforts:
The disbanding of all national armed forces and the prohibition of their reestablishment in any form whatsoever other than those required to preserve internal order and for contributions to a United Nations Peace Force;

The elimination from national arsenals of all armaments, including all weapons of mass destruction and the means for their delivery, other than those required for a United Nations Peace Force and for maintaining internal order;

The institution of effective means for the enforcement of international agreements, for the settlement of disputes, and for the maintenance of peace in accordance with the principles of the United Nations;

The establishment and effective operation of an International Disarmament Organization within the framework of the United Nations to insure compliance at all times with all disarmament obligations.

Bernard Madoff's son Mark found hanged

Mark Madoff, the eldest son of disgraced financier Bernard Madoff, has been found hanged in his downtown Manhattan apartment on the second anniversary of the day his father turned himself in to authorities.

His death, which was reported to the police by his father-in-law at 7.30am today, came days after he was named in a new lawsuit by the liquidators of his father's empire.

"He was found hanged in his apartment. It was an apparent suicide," police spokesman Paul Browne said. But authorities said he left no suicide note.

Mark Madoff and his brother, Andrew, were under investigation but had not faced any criminal charges in the $50bn (£31bn) Ponzi scheme that led to their father being jailed.

His death also came on the cut-off date for trustees looking to clawback losses from the fraud to file final lawsuits.

On Wednesday, Irving Picard, the court-appointed trustee for the liquidation of Bernard L Madoff Investment Securities, the fraudster's main US firm, named all the directors of the London subsidiary in a new lawsuit.

The high court complaint – which named Mark and his brother Andrew, their uncle Peter, as well as Sonja Kohn, who has been charged separately for other Madoff-related fraud – will attempt to recoup $80m (£50.5bn).

The move to open Bernard Madoff's London operations to scrutiny once again followed the decision by the Serious Fraud Office in February not to take any action against Madoff Securities International (MSIL) or its directors due to "insufficient evidence to provide a realistic prospect of conviction".

On 11 December 2008, Bernard Madoff summoned his sons to his home to tell them his investment business was "one big lie".

Mark and Andrew both worked on a trading desk at the firm, on a side of the business that was not directly involved in the Ponzi scheme.

"Mark remains unalterably bitter about his father's deception and the injury his father has caused," a spokeswoman for the two men told the Wall Street Journal last week. "Andy was also deeply impacted by his father's deception."

Neither had talked with his father or mother in two years. That decision, she said, was made out of choice and also because of legal threats still hanging over the men.

A year ago Picard sued several members of the family, including the brothers, accusing them of failing to detect the fraud while living lavish lifestyles financed with the family's ill-gotten fortune.

The lawsuit accused Mark Madoff of using $66m (£41.7m) he received improperly to buy luxury homes in New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Mark and his wife Stephanie bought a $6.5m home in Nantucket, Massachusetts in 2008. It is currently for sale.

After the initial furore of the scandal died down, Mark tried unsuccessfully to get a job in trading before starting a company making applications for iPads.

But the taint of the scandal could not easily be brushed off. His wife found the glare of publicity and the notoriety attached to her partner's name so uncomfortable she changed her name from Madoff to Morgan.

Mark recently had been using an email address that does not include his first or last name, a friend noted.

In March last year, Bernard Madoff pleaded guilty to 11 counts of fraud and was subsequently sentenced to the maximum of 150 years behind bars for fleecing hundreds of investors out of tens of billions of dollars. The scam is widely referred to as the largest Ponzi scheme in history.

Just before he was sentenced, he said: "I am responsible for a great deal of suffering and pain. I understand that. I live in a tormented state now, knowing of all the pain and suffering that I have created."

You try telling someone in this country that we should get rid of the national curriculum. They will recoil in horror. After all, how would we make sure everyone got taught the right things? A very scary proposition. Best just let government decide for us. Or even better, delude ourselves into thinking 'we are the government', as many state worshippers say. Certainly, we are the government when we self govern. But the blackmailed/corrupt (s)elected 'representatives' are not synonymous with the people.

School is dog training for humans. I admire people who home school or otherwise help their children escape the thought gestapo mind control robots, called teachers. The only truly good teachers I had were the ones who (shock) were not robots and encouraged independent thought, and let me assure you that isn't many. The system is designed that way.
