Save the planet by having fewer babies, says BBC presenter

.

"Packham, 49, who has no children of his own, told Radio Times: ‘By 2020, there are going to be 70million people in Britain. Let’s face it, that’s too many...

'Fact is, we all eat food, breathe air and require space, and the more of us there are, the less of those commodities there are for other people and, of course, for the animals'"

Reminds me a little of Dr Duke. Lmao

As usual, if there really are too many people as you say, lead by example...

  1. I agree, there are too many people on the earth. I remember when the earth had 1/3 the population it has today and I don't see any improvement with increased population density. However, I also remember being told at school in the sixties that we should limit our population growth to save the planet and humanity. Then when we did they brought in masses of immigrants because (they said) there wasn't enough people to service the economy.

I still believe there are too many people and this will only get worse. In a tiny island like the UK I can't understand why they would allow 2.5 times more immigrants than they do in Canada - the second largest country in the world.

Folks in Scotland - including the SNP - insist the country is underpopulated and needs more immigrants. Oddly enough I find Scotland quite crowded. Scotland has 67 people psk while Canada has 3.7 psk. Perhaps these folks like the idea of over 5,000 people psk like they have in some parts of SE England.

Yes, the world is overpopulated and it's time the UK shut the doors and preserved what little wilderness and farmland they have left.

  2. I had this exact discussion with scunnert, quite a long time ago. Back when I was very politically correct and thus could not answer this properly.

The truth is that we in 'the West' are not overpopulated and actually will experience a massive reduction in population due to decades of low birth rates and falling fertility.

The "population bomb" only really applies to Africa (mostly) and even there the story of massive population increase is only a cover for mass murder by the AIDS bioweapon.

I think the real issue here is not so much *how many* people but *which* people. Europe is for Europeans.

I am more concerned (which is to say, mildly) about Dieoff and Replacement, than I am about Overpopulation/Malthusian catastrophe. At least in the '1st world'.

Most of these Malthusian types like Dr Eric Pianka end up calling for massive culls, plagues, sterilisations etc. Who are they do decide who lives and who dies?

  3. "I had this exact discussion with scunnert ..."

I am Scunnert - changed the moniker some time back.

"The truth is that we in 'the West' are not overpopulated ..."

We in the West have taken action to correct the trend to overpopulation by restricting the number of children we have. These efforts have, however, been undermined by the elites who would turn the UK into a third world ghetto as they believe there is profit in doing that.
