Spraying viruses on meat, for your own good

Sounds OK to me...and this has been going on for over two years.

I understand the reason is to combat other pathogens that may be on the meat. The petition points out that, while this may seem like a good idea, it's not addressing the root cause of contamination - the ill health of the animals. Also, the risk of creating mutated forms of the bacteria is present. Not to mention the lack of research into the risks of consuming the 'bacteria-killing virus' over long periods of time.
